One is a bot that joins your calls. One sells translation separately. One began life as a noise filter and grew a notepad. One never leaves your phone.

Fireflies is the integration choice. Pro is 10 per seat billed annually and plugs into the video-call stack most teams already live in. The features people actually shop for — mixed-language meetings, SSO, HIPAA — sit above the ten dollar line.
Notta has the lowest headline price at 8.17 and the most generous minute allowance here. It is also the only one that charges extra for the thing it is best known for.
Krisp gives unlimited transcription and unlimited AI notes at 8 per user annually, with no bot in the meeting. It is by far the narrowest on languages.
AmyNote is 99 a year, or 8.25 a month, for the whole account rather than per seat. It transcribes more languages than the other three combined, translation included. It is also iOS only, which rules it out for many readers immediately.
What We Compared
Four things, all checkable on a public pricing page: real cost at annual and monthly billing, what the free tier permits, how many languages are supported, and where the tool can physically record.
Transcription accuracy is deliberately not on that list, because nobody publishes a reproducible benchmark and the marketing numbers are not comparable to each other. It is also not what people regret after six months. Fireflies
Strengths. Pro is 10 per seat billed annually and buys 8,000 minutes of storage per seat. It joins Zoom, Meet, Teams, and Webex, connects to roughly forty other apps, and its AskFred search across your transcript history is genuinely good once you have a few months of meetings in it. The free plan is unusually honest about transcription itself: unlimited, no meeting cap.
Weaknesses. That free plan gives your whole team — not each user, the team — 400 minutes of storage and 20 AI credits. Transcription is unlimited but keeping it is not, which is a distinction that only becomes visible in week three.
The gating above Pro is where budget buyers get caught. Multi-language Mode, for meetings where people switch languages mid-sentence, is locked to Business at 19 per seat. SSO and HIPAA are Enterprise only at 39. If either of those is the reason Fireflies is on your list, you are not shopping under ten dollars — you are passing through the ten dollar tier on the way to a number four times larger.
Paying monthly moves Pro to 18, which puts it outside this comparison entirely. And a bot visibly joins the call, which is a policy question at some companies and a social one at all of them.
Notta
Strengths. At 8.17 per month on annual billing, Notta Pro is the cheapest paid tier here, with 1,800 minutes a month and a five hour cap per recording. That is the most recorded time per dollar on this page by a wide margin. It covers 58 languages for transcription, and it is the only tool here with a true bilingual mode, transcribing and translating one recording at once across 23 languages.
Weaknesses. Translation is not included, and this is the single most expensive assumption a buyer can make about Notta. Monolingual translation is an add-on at 6 per month annually. Bilingual transcription plus translation is 9. Both stack on top of the subscription, and base Pro includes only four free uses of those add-ons per month — enough to convince you it is included, not enough to use it.
Pro plus the bilingual add-on is 17.17 a month. That is double the headline price and no longer a budget tool at all. If translation is why you are looking at Notta, price the real total before anything else.
The free plan caps each conversation at three minutes, which is not a meeting. It is a voice memo. And monthly billing moves Pro to 13.99.
Krisp
Strengths. Krisp Core is 8 per user billed annually and includes unlimited transcription and unlimited AI notes with action items — rare at this price, and the reason Krisp is the quiet value pick here. It records bot-free and captures in-person conversations from desktop and mobile. English transcription runs on-device, a real privacy advantage rather than a marketing one. Underneath all of it sits the noise cancellation that made the company, and clean audio does measurably improve transcripts.
Note that the plan names changed this year. What was Pro and Business is now Core and Advanced, so any comparison written before 2026 is describing tiers that no longer exist under those names.
Weaknesses. Sixteen languages. English on-device plus fifteen server-based, and that is the entire list. If your meetings happen in Korean, Japanese, Arabic, or Chinese, Krisp is not a candidate and no amount of price advantage changes that.
The mobile app still lacks noise cancellation, which is the company's flagship feature — worth knowing if you were planning to buy Krisp specifically for phone use. The free plan allows 60 minutes of daily noise cancellation and two AI meeting notes per day. And Core doubles to 16 the moment you leave annual billing.
AmyNote
Strengths. AmyNote is 99 a year, or 8.25 a month, covering the account rather than a seat. That distinction matters more than the headline number: it is the only tool on this page that does not multiply by headcount.
It transcribes 140-plus languages and translates into 100-plus, optimized for East Asian and Arabic, none of it an add-on. No bot and no hardware — it is a phone in a room with other people, which is what an in-person meeting actually is. Speaker identification persists across sessions, so a name learned in March is still attached in August. Transcription runs on OpenAI's Speech API, analysis on Claude Opus.
Both OpenAI and Anthropic contractually guarantee zero training on user data. Audio is encrypted in transit and not retained after processing. Transcripts are stored locally on device with end-to-end encryption.
Weaknesses. AmyNote is iOS only. No Android app, no desktop app, no browser version. If your team is on Windows or Android, stop reading here, because the other three are cross-platform and AmyNote is not.
